Singing bowls are one of the ancient Tibetan meditation tools. They are often used to mark the beginning and end of a meditation session. In addition, they are used for the purposes of chakra cleansing and for attracting positive energy in general. Some people like to use it as a musical instrument or even simply as beautiful piece of home décor. Himalayan Art House’s singing bowl is absolutely gorgeous and produces a great relaxing, soothing and healing sound. The bowl is made in Nepal using high quality metal alloys. The Tibetan Buddhist prayer for compassion Om Mani Padme Hum is etched on the outside of the bowl. For those new to meditation: to play a singing bowl, strike the side of the bowl at or around the rim with the mallet. The singing bowl set is complete with a wooden mallet/striker and a square cushion. The cushion is covered in a vibrant red or yellow-coloured cloth that is hand-embroidered and has tassels on all four corners. Please note that our singing bowls are handmade and hand-etched – thus, the bowl you receive may not be identical to the one pictured.
